Children's Water Festival

Pierce Conservation District coordinates the Pierce County Children's Water Festival, an annual event that brings 5th graders from around Pierce County for a day of learning about water quality and conservation.

2018 Children's Water Festival

This year's Festival was held on Tuesday, March 13th at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. There were roughly 696 5th graders from 8 local schools on hand to learn from local experts and educators. The participated in a wide range of activities, including water testing, modeling, fish anatomy investigations, and much more.  Over 120 community volunteers and partners helped make the 2018 Festival a huge success!
