Kyrstin Onaga joined the Pierce Conservation District in October of 2023 serving as the Habitat team’s AmeriCorps member for the last two years. Kyrstin has recently transitioned from the AmeriCorps program and will now be working as the Habitat Improvement Coordinator assisting with various grant funded restoration efforts throughout Pierce County. Kyrstin earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Washington-Tacoma where she minored in Teaching, Learning, and Justice. She is elated to continue her work with the conservation district. When she is not out in the field, she loves relaxing with her three dogs, having a porch hang out with friends, and exploring Tacoma for new food spots.
